Leeton United will play host to the Cootamundra Strikers on Sunday afternoon, giving the home side the chance to blow out the cobwebs following the long weekend break.
United's season has been slowly building in 2021, having won four matches, lost one and drawn four.
First grade coach Frank Alampi would like to see his team adding more to winning side of the ledger, starting this weekend.
The side will likely be without Pablo Quarin and possibly Stuart Smeeth.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Alampi was unsure what to expect from the travelling Cootamundra side, who are currently languishing at the bottom of the Pascoe Cup ladder.
"I haven't seen them (Cootamundra) play this year, but we always have tough battles with Coota," he said.
"I'm not quite sure what kind of side they will bring over.
"I do know that when they are at full strength they are a good team.
"We will be treating them with the respect they deserve no matter what team shows up.
"At the end of the day we want to win and get the three points because they are a vital three points for us."
Leeton United continue to be the hunted in 2021 after winning last year's competition, but this year's side is different to the team which picked up the premiership trophy in 2020.
Alampi said his side was still hungry and hoped the second half of the season would bring about more victories as they slowly build towards a finals campaign.
"It is a different team and things happen every week with injuries or players being unavailable, so we just have to take it week-by-week," the coach said.
"The boys are still hungry and they want to be winning games.
"The couple of draws we had we really should have won, but you move on and just focus on the game that's ahead."
Sunday's match will kick off at 3.20pm at MIA Sportsground.
