The club has a proud history since joining together with what was the standalone Wamoon entity, which has featured numerous premierships and grand final appearances.
In the more lean years, it has been the friendships formed and love of the game that has held the tight-knit community together.
The club had been due to celebrate the 50th anniversary last year, but with the pandemic and its various restrictions, the Hawks were unable to do so.
Planned for July 31, the club will be holding a special reunion dinner to mark the five decades.
Earlier that day the club will be going up against the Leeton Greens in the second local derby of the season.
Club stalwart Michael Garlick has been busily preparing the anniversary festivities.
He said the evening at Yanco Hotel was for all to attend over the years whether they have a former or current association with the Hawks.
The night will feature good food, entertainment and plenty of catch ups, as well as around 10 guest speakers who will each address different periods of the club's history and their own personal experiences.
"It will be a good chance for everyone to get together and reminicise, but hopefully it also generates more interest in the club again because we desperately need more volunteers," Garlick said.
"We've had some really good years. We won two premierships in the 70s, five in a round in the 90s and the last one was in 2000.
"But it's not always all about winning, it's about the people you meet and people just having a go at footy."
