If the recent COVID-19 restrictions have taught us anything it is that we can change and adapt in a short space of time even if it does mean a mad scramble for business owners.
Last weekend's announcements gave businesses only three hours to implement change in order to continue operations.
Locally, we saw all businesses pull together to do what was required.
A large football reunion that had been many months in the making suddenly had to source over 200 masks in the space of a few hours.
The venue then had to rearrange the seating plan at the eleventh hour to ensure that all guests were adequately spaced and to make sure that all guests complied to these sudden changes in restrictions.
IN OTHER NEWS:
As frustrating as the changes were, we again saw that businesses were able to rise to the occasion to ensure that it was "business as usual" to some extent.
The Australian Art Deco Festival Leeton was an unfortunate casualty of these restrictions with many performers unable to travel.
Here's hoping that the 2022 festival comes back bigger and better.
Use of the Service NSW QR code will be mandatory at workplaces from July 12 and, while many businesses have already implemented the use of a QR code to check in, there are still a few out there that might need help with doing this.
If you are a new business or an existing business that needs a hand with ensuring you are COVID safe please reach out to Leeton Business Chamber for assistance with these matters.
