Changes to three separate parking areas in Leeton's central business district will soon be implemented by council in the next few weeks.
Two, 15-minute parking spaces will be implemented on Reservoir Lane (near the toilets) replacing the current all-day parking at these spaces.
A "no parking" zone constituting two spaces will also be put in place outside of John Ryan Motors and will apply from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
These changes are the outcomes of discussions held by the Local Area Traffic Committee (LATC) members at a meeting earlier this year.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Council road safety officer Stephanie Puntoriero reminded residents there was a difference between a "no stopping" zone and a "no parking" zone.
"A 'no stopping' zone means you may not stop your vehicle for any reason," she said.
"A 'no parking' zone means you may stop, but only for a period of up to two minutes for the purpose of dropping off or picking up passengers or goods and you must remain within three metres of your vehicle."
Residents will also see the re-introduction of 15-minute parking outside 44 to 46 Wade Avenue outside the Leeton Fish Shop and the Tobacconist store.
