A public meeting was held on Tuesday to discuss the viability of the fund moving forward and whether or not it has enough support to do so.
A solid number of community members turned out to express their support, but now that will need to be turned into real action.
The fund will hold its annual general meeting on Tuesday, July 20 at the Leeton Soldiers Club in the Rapps Room from 5.30pm.
It will be here where official decisions are made, according to current chairman Megan Martin.
"The mood in the room (on Tuesday) was extremely positive," Mrs Martin said.
"Everybody values what a great organisation JumpStart is and the benefits it has for the Leeton community.
"The feel was we need to do whatever we can to keep it going. So now, we need people to actually commit to that sentiment and come along to the AGM."
At this stage there is a motion on the books at the meeting to say the fund will go into recess.
In order to overturn that, fresh ideas and new faces need to head along to ensure JumpStart can be revived.
"We're looking for people with new skills, perhaps younger ones, to add to the skill set we have," Mrs Martin said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Like most organisations we need to pivot in a COVID world, particularly when it comes to fundraising.
"Your involvement can be as big or as small as you like.
"We need it all. We're looking for people that may be able to help in some shape or form.
"It's all well and good for people to show up and say 'we love JumpStart, we want to keep it going', but unless they are willing to help in some way, then we will still be in the same position."
