However, for Leeton's Kurrajong drama group that will need to be put on pause once again for the moment.
The group had been due to present their Mamma Mia performances early next month, but restrictions have meant this has had to be pushed back once again.
The participants have been busy rehearsing since their shows were first postponed 12 months ago, but they are not letting restrictions keep them down.
The shows had been rescheduled and set to be held on August 6 and 7, but with the COVID situation ongoing, these dates have now been moved to September 10 in Leeton (two shows) and September 11 in Narrandera.
"Performers have been preparing for Mamma Mia since 2020," Kurrajong Outreach Services manager Deanne Bolesta said.
"Having to navigate the COVID (rules) and venue changes due to the Roxy Theatre refurbishment, we thought we were finally set until the recent restrictions.
"Sadly we have decided to reschedule.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Hopefully, by this time things will have settled a little to enable our initial audience numbers."
Those who had already booked tickets to the August shows through Eventbrite will have their tickets rolled over to the new dates automatically.
In the meantime, rehearsals are going ahead, while sticking to the COVID rules.
The show is promising to tell the story of Mia - a young girl who pursues her dreams of becoming famous and travels the world in pursuit of happiness, just to learn that she had everything she really wanted waiting for her back at home.
Mamma Mia is a story about love, life and happiness. The Leeton show will be held at the Mia Club, while the Narrandera performance is set to be staged at the CRC Church.
In a special extra show, performers will also take to the stage at Griffith Regional Theatre on October 23.
"All of our performers have handled all of the change so well, they are excited for when they can eventually take to the stage," Ms Bolesta said.
"It's going to be a fantastic show." Purchase a ticket now at https://kurrajongwaratah.eventbrite.com.au.
