For more than 30 years Mrs Worley was the catering manager and a residential supervisor at YAHS.
She has now made the tough decision to retire and start to enjoy life outside of the boarding school.
It's been quite the journey for Mrs Worley, who first started working at the school before having children and later returning once her family was complete.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mrs Worley has received numerous awards and distinguished accolades for her years of service, including the Director-General's award for excellence to public education in 2012.
With so many years under her belt, thousands upon thousands of meals served and many wonderful friendships formed, Mrs Worley said she would miss the people most at YAHS.
"I've had the pleasure of working with wonderful staff and principals over the years," she said.
"I lived on site up until the last 18 months or so, so you really are immersed in the school life. I went on excursions, met so many wonderful parents and students and was really part of their lives I guess."
There's no doubting many would look back on their time at YAHS and remember Mrs Worley whether it be for her meals, her guidance, many even seeing her as a "mum" or "grandma" figure during their time.
"I've formed so many wonderful bonds with students who have then became my friends later in life ... it's been a real privilege to see them grow up and then have their children attend the school," she said.
"I've got so many stories, I could definitely fill a book."
Mrs Worley now plans to spend time travelling when she can, learning bridge, getting involved with community groups and enjoying more free time.
"I'll miss the people the most out there ... it really is a wonderful school where all of the staff just go above and beyond every day," she said.
"I'm glad for my years there now, but I'm looking forward to what comes next."
