A LEETON man was allegedly driving drunk behind the wheel on Thursday morning while he was already disqualified.

The 57-year-old man was stopped by police on Brobenah Road just after 10am on Thursday, August 12 for a roadside breath test, which returned an alleged positive result.
After conducting further checks, officers found the man was allegedly driving a vehicle that was uninsured, unregistered and he was also disqualified from driving until 2023.

Police arrested the man and he was taken to Leeton police station where a further breath analysis revealed an alleged positive high-range reading of 0.182.
The man was charged with driving while disqualified, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle and high-range drink driving.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Leeton Local Court at a later date.
