Police have been out and about during the current lockdown, making sure residents and businesses are complying with the public health orders that are in place.
Acting officer in charge at Leeton, Inspector Tim Clark, said several breaches had occurred in the past week, typically of a night time.
"It's mainly in relation to not having a valid reason for being out and away from home," he said.
"There have been a number of infringement notices issued for that.
"It's mostly late at night. People who have no reason to be out at that time of the night.
"They are being stopped for the purpose of a random breath test by our officers, but then of course we are asking why they are out in the middle of the night during lockdown.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It's those sorts of things that we are finding here in Leeton."
Inspector Clark did say the majority of the community was adhering to the rules in place.
"People are becoming more compliant and aware when it comes to wearing masks and doing what they have to in that area," he said.
"Basically now when you walk out that door to go somewhere, you have to either be wearing your mask or have it on you if you are exercising."
