The talented footballer has been playing for Newtown and Chilwell and was named in the AFL Barwon senior female division one team of the year and also finished equal fifth in the best and fairest count.
For Favell, the accolades came as a bit of a shock.
"There was only two of us from our team, so I was very honoured to be one of them," she said.
" It was crazy when we were watching. I wasn't expecting my name to be in there, and I have never actually played halfback here, so they just chucked me in, but I'm very honoured.
"There are a couple of VFL girls in the other teams and ours as well, so it's been very good competition."
Favell is currently studying at Deakin University and has been really enjoying being able to get out on the footy field again.
"It has been really good to have a lot of girls teams within the same area and not having to travel more than 20 minutes," she said.
"It has been a lot less pressure and a bit more enjoyable and more social because we do a lot of social events together."
The season has been paused a couple of times due to the lockdown restrictions in Victoria, but Favell has been able to take part in all eight games her side has been able to play so far this season.

"We probably only played three games straight and then have a lockdown and then play another two or three and have a lockdown," she said.
"The league was really good about trying to squash as many games in. We are currently just waiting for the lockdown to end so we can play our grand final, so hopefully that happens sometime soon."
Having finished the regular season in second, they were able to defeat the top of the table Geelong Amateur side by 10 points, with Favell chipping in with a goal.
They are now awaiting the winner of the match between Geelong and Groovedale. Favell is confident her side has what it takes to bring home the flag, even if they are the underdogs.
"Hopefully, we have enough people behind us so that we can come out on top as the underdogs," she said.
I'm feeling pretty good we have a very strong team and hopefully we are able to keep our momentum going even though lockdown has happened.
"We are all still trying to get out in our pairs and have a kick and do some running so hopefully we can finish on top."
