Not only did it bring much welcome relief to our local business owners, but also to our Leeton shire teachers and parents who have been juggling home school and work.
I was in the latter camp and, I must say I was facing a losing battle, particularly in the last few weeks with my middle child even offering up bribes for me to complete his work.
Nice try buddy, but $10 just doesn't cut it.
It was so great to see the residents rediscovering Leeton in their five kilometre bubble during the recent weeks.
The walking track, Leeton Skate Park, No 1 ovals and parks certainly got a workout.

As well as this, many who had never visited Fivebough Wetlands discovered this natural wonder in our backyards.
At risk of sounding like a broken record - I continue to encourage everyone to support our local businesses during this time.
During lockdown we got a taste of what life would be like without businesses in town, so coming off the back of that it's important that we buy a coffee, buy a newspaper, purchase a gift for a friend or buy something we need in our local community.
Every dollar spent whether big or small can make a difference for our local business owners.
