IN OTHER NEWS:
"I'm currently slogging through a manuscript, but it could be a while before anything happens with that ... some days I can do a bit, but other days I struggle to leave the house or the lounge because of my health," she said.
"The best thing about writing though is you can do it anywhere and it really is something I have loved all my life. I've loved words, reading, writing. It's also something anyone at any age can take up.
"I think everyone has a story in them, so I'd really encourage people to get it down and on paper.
"It does require discipline and stamina, but I love it. It's incredibly good for my mental health."
When speaking with Ms Ifield it's easy to see how passionate she is about writing - whether it's for novels or books, journaling or just getting thoughts down.
"Especially at this time during the pandemic where life has slowed down," she said.
"Everyone across the world is struggling, but this is a way to connect.
"When you look at it, without words and stories there would be no books, no movies, no music, no pictures on your wall. The human life is all about stories. It's what connects all of us."
