The club will need to wait until at least November until diving in to the Leeton pool, which continues to undergo major maintenance work after a leak was located.
While disappointing for swimmers and club organisers, they are expecting a huge season ahead once the pool is open.
COVID restrictions also mean community sport likely won't return until the end of October, so all systems go swimmers should be back competing in November.
In the meantime, club president Sally Hill said there was plenty happening in the background.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We'll have somewhere between 11 and 15 coaches coming on board this year ... all who can offer different amounts of time and experience," she said.
"We're having a meeting next week to sit down and map out a coaching schedule. We'll also hopefully have the plan in place for the Learn 2 Swim groups.
"That will then allow us to have a better picture of where we are placed. At the moment we're planning for an early November start date, but obviously that will have to rely on the pool being open. We'll get out timetable sorted and go from there."
Registrations will also soon be taken for all the age groups, which starts at five-years-old up until 18-years-old.
The club is hoping to hold several carnivals throughout the year.
"We'll announce when registrations are open through our Facebook page, we've had a lot of interest so far," Hill said.
"We've put down to host a Southern Inland carnival on December 11, so hopefully everything is all set by then.
"We may also still be in the running to host the regional carnival again, so hopefully. Last year even with a disrupted season, we had about 19 kids who got to state level carnivals. That's excellent for a town our size.
"Most of those swimmers will be back this season. There's a really big interest at the moment, we've got a lot of young ones coming through who were inspired by the recent Olympics."
