That's something Leeton's Giuseppe Bruzzese is banking on when he opens his first ever restaurant business.

Mr Bruzzese has been busily transforming a building in Kurrajong Avenue into his own food haven - Peppe's Pizza and Pasta.

The staples will of course be just that - delicious homemade pasta and pizza, but there will also be opportunities to sample special meals and desserts, as well as ordering other Italian favourites in bulk for home dinners or catering.

Starting his own business is something Mr Bruzzese has thought about for some time, deciding this year was the right time to do so.

"Before I started on this I worked at La Fresco Caffe for five years when it was owned by my uncle, as well as a pizzeria in Narrandera for the six months before I started doing this," he said.

"I always wanted to open my own business, so working there really helped me decide it was what I wanted to do."

Opening a new business is no easy task, especially given the current climate, but Mr Bruzzese and his family members have thrown themselves into the task.

Peppe's Pizza and Pasta is located in Kurrajong Avenue in what was once an Indian restaurant.

However, walking inside the building has been completely transformed to prepare for opening day.

Signage has also recently been installed on the outside of the building, making it stand out as a beacon for those searching to fill their tummies with delicious food in the time ahead.

Mr Bruzzese hasn't locked in an official opening date as yet, but he is making arrangements to welcome in customers in the very near future.

He said having his family be part of the process alongside him had helped to ease some of the anxiety of opening a new business.

"My mum has been doing so much and she will be here cooking when we open ... I'm really grateful," Mr Bruzzese said.

"My siblings will also be helping out.

"We're just really looking forward to welcoming people here and providing some delicious food. Who doesn't love pizza and pasta?"
