There was plenty happening in Leeton shire during this time - most notably on the football fields.
The Leeton Dianas made their town proud by bringing home the premiership cup, as did the Leeton Phantoms under 17s side in what was a big year for rugby union.
Other sides were also taking to the field for their respective finals - a stark contrast to 2021 where no finals took place amid COVID lockdowns and restrictions.
The Leeton Eisteddfod was winding up, Leeton's Meals on Wheels volunteers were being honored, while a local Rural Fire Service branch was excited to receive some new equipment.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Leeton shire residents were also preparing to vote in the federal election. At this time Leeton was still in the Riverina electorate - now the shire is in the Farrer electorate.
