Salvatore, who is in year six, was the first ever student from Parkview Public selected to represent the Riverina at the NSW Primary School Sports Association's boys soccer championships.
His selection followed from impressive performances for the Leeton-Narrandera PSSA side at the Riverina championships.
Unfortunately, like many other things in 2020 and 2021, his selection hasn't exactly gone to plan.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the soccer championships were originally postponed last term to be held now that school has returned again.

However, the event then had to be cancelled all together.
Despite this, Salvatore was presented with his Riverina School Sports Association playing strip to acknowledge the outstanding achievement of being selected in such a prestigious representative team
Principal Travis Irvin said the school community was proud of Salvatore's achievement.
"Salvatore displays outstanding sportsmanship in all his endeavours at school and we are proud of his achievements," he said.
"No doubt further accolades await him with continued hard work."
