One local business, Arbour and Ivy Florist has been baring the brunt of it, telling The Irrigator that business had only continued to get busier as locals scrambled to find the perfect gifts for friends and family now that they could reunite in person.
"During lockdown many Leeton residents placed orders with me either online or over the phone to arrange for contactless delivery whilst our shopfront was closed," Owner Kerry Cornes said.
According to Mrs Cornes, she has continued to be 'ridiculously busy' and has extended her shop hours to make up for the demand.
"I have been more fortunate than most during these tough times, I still can't believe it," Mrs Cornes said.

Hampers filled with flowers and local products from suppliers such as Junee Liquorice and Chocolates have been hot to go as gifts of choice, with wedding season also now arriving and plenty of demand from brides for flowers to match the wedding of their dreams.
"Everyone is just trying to make up for lost time and celebrate in person together," Mrs Cornes said.
"We are so fortunate here in Leeton that people are for the most part doing the right thing to get vaccinated and follow the public health order," she continued.
But for those still waiting to receive their second dose, Mrs Cornes said they could contact the store online to order flowers and arrange contactless delivery.
"I just want to do the right thing by the business, by our customers and by our community," Mrs Cornes said.
"We have been lucky for the most part that our unvaccinated customers understand what options are available to them even if they can't visit us here instore."
