Officers noticed the vehicle being driven in Pine Avenue at 2.45am on October 24, but the car had no headlights switched on.
Police stopped the 34-year-old man who was behind the wheel for a roadside breath test, alleging the driver returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to the Leeton police station where further a further reading revealed a blood alcohol reading of 0.172, landing him in the high-range category.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The man was charged with high-range drink driving, with his licence suspended on the spot.
He was also issued with a notice to appear in Leeton Local Court at a later date.
