MS Australia provides support for those suffering from multiple sclerosis and their families, helping to provide needed renovations and equipment to those suffering from the often-debilitating disease.
Vital equipment includes things like electric wheelchairs and lifters, safety lines and ramps, all of which cost significant amounts of money.
MS Australia is raising the money for the equipment and support services, through an upcoming charity golf day in Leeton.
Joan Dartnell, the President of MS Australia's MIA branch, has been running the event for 25 years, and says it brings in people from all around the community.
"It's my 25th year of fundraising for people with MS, I've been running a charity golf day for most of that. The money always stays within the MIA as well," she explained.
"My phone doesn't stop much, with people needing equipment and service and machines. People in nursing homes, they don't always get the extra help with special needs equipment so we do that as well."
Mrs Dartnell explained that her daughter was 13 when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, motivating her to start the support group which now hosts several lunches, a Christmas party and weekly hydrotherapy sessions.

The upcoming golf day will feature a wide range of competitions, from longest drive to Four Ball Better-Ball along with juniors and seniors games.
"It's always popular, every year. That's why I've been doing it, it's always a good money raiser and it's good to raise awareness. They put some money in to participate, I get donations from business houses as well," Mrs Dartnell said.
Prizes for each of the competitions were also donated from local businesses eager to support the cause.
Participation in the event is open to all, at a cost of $35 for adults and $20 for those 16 years or below. Money will go to MS Australia's MIA branch. Tee off is at Leeton Golf Course on November 21, and bookings can be made through Jason's Golf Shop.
