Updated only every 15 years, the plan is an important blueprint for capturing Leeton Shire's vision for the future and what priority actions need to be implemented to achieve that vision.
Council's Executive Manager IPR, Governance and Engagement Kerrie-Anne Hare said the plan was a community document, with Council existing the facilitate the development the plan on the behalf of the broader community
"Leeton Shire Council is seeking community input to make sure the community's plan for the future stays relevant and targets those areas that matter most," Ms Hare said.
"The Community Strategic Plan is our focus for the future but over time things can change and new priorities can emerge."
Leeton Shire Council Communications Coordinator Monica Armanini said that it was important that Council accurately the views of everyone across the community.
"We really need to get a wide cross section of views across the community and we would love to hear peoples views in terms of what they want in culture, what they want to see in terms of roads and community facilities and more," Mrs Armanini said.

According to Ms Hare, updating the plan was key to understanding what the community of Leeton wants the Shire to become in the next few years.
"In the updating of the plan, we aim to capture a range of community views so that the final document is a true representation of what the whole community wants the Shire to be like over the next decade or so," Ms Hare said.
To contribute, community members will be able to complete a survey online, share ideas and highlight issues and opportunities via a mapping tool.
"Hopefully through this targeted online approach we get a good amount of ideas and feedback from community members," Mrs Armanini said.
"Whether it is about the economy, sports, arts, safety or schooling we'd like to hear your views," Ms Hare said.
