NSW Ambulance Inspector Eamonn Purcell said emergency services were called to the scene at Sandigo at about 1.40pm on Monday.
"The initial report was that four cars were involved and two people trapped, so we responded with three ambulances and a supervisor," he said.
"When we arrived on scene, we found five patients and four vehicles.
"One patient, who was a passenger, was an 18-year-old female with back and leg pain, and she was transported in a stable condition to Wagga Base Hospital."

Inspector Purcell said they also treated a 38-year-old woman for limb pain and facial lacerations, a 40-year-old man with shoulder pain, a 40-year-old truck driver with limb pain and a 58-year-old woman with back pain.
He said when emergency services arrived, all patients had extricated themselves from their vehicle or had been helped by passers-by.
"Paramedics were relieved to find that while there was a lot of patients and it was a chaotic scene, no one was seriously injured or killed," Inspector Purcell said.
"We always like for members of the public who are driving to manage their fatigue and take care.
"All emergency services worked extremely well together, and bystanders were extremely helpful, and we appreciated their efforts."
