An experienced problem solver and decision maker through his line of work as Chief Inspector in the NSW Police Force and involvement in a number of community groups, Councillor Reneker said he was a good fit for council.
"I think I can communicate well with people in the community, I am stable and I always think of the bigger picture as well," Councillor Reneker said.
"I am very keen on doing things that will benefit the entirety of Leeton, not just one individual or individual area or group of community members."
According to Councillor Reneker he also wanted to increase the levels of accountability government agencies operating in Leeton are held to.
"Government agencies are funded to provide a service to the residents of Leeton but often don't do that," Cnr Reneker said.
"This is a key focus for me going forward for me, I want to see them held to account."
Councillor Reneker also noted that he was excited to see so many candidates running alongside him in the upcoming elections.
"It's good to see so many candidates running, it's a healthy environment for the shire to have a good cross section of people involved in local government," Cnr Reneker said.
"I just want to continue serving the community and represent the communities interests at council meetings."
