The Lions Club of Leeton is bringing its train out of storage in preparation for the annual lights tours around town.
The train is not only a fun and convenient way to view the lights, but it takes all of the hassle out of the process, according to club president Marie Jackson.
"The Lions train allows (residents) to view the lights without having to concentrate on traffic and tight maneuvering in Leeton streets," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Families can let Lions do the driving while they enjoy the colourful Christmas lights.
"Once again the Lions train is going to be heard around town during the festive season."
Tours, as in the past, will start from the Market Plaza carpark at 8.30pm, lasting around two hours per journey.
The cost per person remains at $5 and bookings can be made at Broso's Farmland Supplies in Acacia Avenue or by calling 6953 2388 during business hours.
Tickets must be paid for and picked up prior to departure.
Dates for this year's tours are as follows:
- December 7, December 8 and December 9.
- December 13, December 14, December 15 and December 16.
- December 21, December 22 and December 23.
COVID restrictions apply to the operation of the train for the moment, meaning all residents aged 16 and over must be double vaccinated until rules ease.
