Many residents turned out for the event on Sunday evening in Mountford Park to hear the traditional carols being sung live.
While the crowd numbers weren't as large as usual, a solid number of residents still turned out to enjoy an evening of music and entertainment under the shade of the trees at the park.
The carols are an ecumenical event and are open to everyone no matter their faith or religion.
This year they were organised by the Leeton Uniting Church.
One of those co-ordinating the evening was Margaret Lang, who was pleased to see the community show their support for the event.
"We were happy with the crowd ... those who were there enjoyed the evening," Mrs Lang said.
"The Town Band backing was really great.
"Our solo singers were fantastic.
"Hopefully next year things will be more open in terms of COVID rules and restrictions so we can be back to normal a bit more.
"We'd love to have the children there singing again.
"Everyone really enjoys having the children perform."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Those who did attend were able to pack a picnic, chairs and rug to sit and enjoy the evening and, according to Mrs Lang, even the mosquitoes stayed away for most of the night.
"The evening itself couldn't have been more perfect ... even the mozzies weren't as bad thankfully," she said.
"Leeton Shire Council and our helpers from the church did a really great job.
"We can't thank them enough."
While the carols were slightly different in 2021, Mrs Lang said the true meaning of the evening shone through and stood out.
She said the tradition of the event was an important reason why it should continue on for many years to come.
"For me every year I just enjoy the singing and the meaning behind the night," Mrs Lang said.
"We have some very talented people in our shire.
"It was a nice way to get into the spirit of Christmas."
