A FEDERAL agency has confirmed it was in Leeton during December investigating a matter in town.

The investigation is believed to be related to an alleged immigration offence, with Australian Border Force (ABF) vehicles and personnel seen at numerous locations and addresses in the shire during a number of days in December.
"The Australian Border Force can confirm its officers were engaged in a targeted enforcement operation in the Leeton NSW region last month," a spokesman for the ABF said.
