The investigation is believed to be related to an alleged immigration offence, with Australian Border Force (ABF) vehicles and personnel seen at numerous locations and addresses in the shire during a number of days in December.
"The Australian Border Force can confirm its officers were engaged in a targeted enforcement operation in the Leeton NSW region last month," a spokesman for the ABF said.
