Infectious Fairfield removalists travelled through the NSW regions to Victoria last week, leaving a trail of uncertainty and COVID-19 hotspots. Three removalists from the Fairfield Local Government Area in NSW travelled to Victoria on Thursday, July 8 and onto South Australia on Friday, July 9. Two have since tested positive to COVID-19. Since their trip south, three Victorian places have been declared tier one hot spots with one apartment block locked down for a fortnight as residents quarantine. A busy highway stop in Ballan, Victoria has also been declared at tier one hot spot. Anyone who visited the Mobil and McDonalds on the Western Freeway between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday, July 8 have been asked to get tested and isolate for 14 days. South Australia have just declared a Shell Petrol Station at Tailem Bend is a COVID-19 hotspot. If you visited the service station between 5.20pm and 7pm on Friday, July 9 you have been asked to get tested and isolate. The South Australian premier confirmed the removalists visited this spot. NSW are yet to release any places the infectious cases stopped on July 8.
