The year six student recently travelled to Maitland where she captained a successful Riverina side at the Girls State Cricket Carnival.
“I took 10 wickets and made 70 runs in the first two days,” she said.
“I was lucky enough to be nominated as the captain by my fellow teammates... It was great to be able to be a part of the team.”
The side hadn’t lost a game in the first two days of competition, coming in third at the end of the carnival.

She was recently selected for the NSW under 15s country female cricket academy.
She recently captained her school side at the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA) State Cricket Competition, contributing 25 runs of her own.
The side was successful in qualifying for the state championships in Maitland.
“It was good to get out and play together. I think everyone put in a really good effort,” she said.
Earlier in the year the Leeton Public School student represented with the Riverina side at the NSW PSSA state soccer carnival.
She was one of only 14 to be part of the side, with 120 trying out along the way.
From here, Charlie has been selected to represent NSW at a cricket carnival in Barooga over the summer.
