Mr Martyn officially hung up his apron at the end of June after more than 50 years in business at the store.
He and his wife Norma are famous for their continental sausage recipe, with the ingredients being passed along to the new management Peter and Di Heaslip. Mr Heaslip has been working with Mr Martyn casually for the last 24 years.
Mr Martyn celebrated 50 years in business earlier this year and said it would be something he would miss each day.
"I'll miss coming in everyday and seeing everyone," he said.
"I liked talking to the customers, so I'll miss them too. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their support. It's going to be pretty hard to fill in the time."
The Parkview butchery is the only one of its kind in Leeton.
Mr Heaslip wished Mr Martyn well.
"I've been here with him for a pretty long time," he said.
"I'd just like to wish him all the best and say thank you."
For those fearing the famous continental sausages will disappear with Mr Martyn in retirement, they needn't worry.
"We'll definitely still have them here," Mrs Heaslip said.
"That's one of the first things people ask when they find out Allen is retiring and we're taking over."
