The school took nine steers and 13 students to this year's show and participated in a variety of competitions and sections.
The steers were judged on hoof and hook, which cattle showstock co-ordinator and teacher Kim Weller said the school did well in.
"We took out reserve champion steer on hook in the trade section," she said.
"Of the seven steers in the pure bred sections five of them placed in the top five of their classes.
"In the Stanhill competition, where each breed society chooses three they feel have shown the best, Yanco Ag had four in that.
"There was the Murray grey steer that was bred by the school, two shorthorn steers bred by Outback Shorthorns Spry Shorthorn and a Hereford steer bred by Yarrandabbie Hereford Stud.
"The Murray grey won and the two shorthorns were third."
YAHS was also named champion school for carcass steer.
There were many individual achievements for the students, with 11 competing in the state parader's competition.
Nine secured ribbons in their heats, with Zoe Howe and Xenii Newnham-Kell placing first.
Ms Weller described it as a successful show.
"The students put in a lot of hours of work," she said.
"The floods did set us back a bit as the kids weren't here, so that did affect our preparation a bit."
Ms Weller thanked Outback Shorthorns Spry Shorthorn, Barvon Shorthorn Studs and Yarrandabbie Hereford Stud for its donation of steers for the students to work with.
