Better known as Vibe 3on3, the initiative was first held in Leeton last year, with hundreds of students attending.
Vibe 3on3 is a travelling sport and music festival that aims to bring together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, as well as non-Indigenous students for a fun day of activities.
The event encourages sportsmanship, teaches new skills, builds self-esteem and promotes reconciliation at a grassroots level. Last year actor Luke Carroll was part of the day in Leeton, which also included a health expo and craft activities.
Mr Carroll will return as emcee of the Leeton event, with a line-up featuring well-known artist and comedian Kevin Kropinyeri hosting the art workshops, the high energy Deadly Move it Mob Style dancers Jake Thomson and Juanita Duncan, and Jimblah, one of the freshest and most powerful voices in hip hop, who will host the rap workshop.
Wagga boxer and former NRL footballer Joe Williams will be the health role model this year.
Leeton Shire Council community services officer Jackson Goman said feedback last year had been in favour of the event returning.
"The working committee that was formed to organise the event here in Leeton was really impressed with it last year, so that was a factor in it returning," he said.
"The guys involved with the program actually like taking it to the same community for two or three years as well.
"This year we have opened it up to more schools, so we would encourage schools to get in touch as to whether or not they will be participating because it's going to fill up pretty quickly."
The event is capped at 400 students, with the Vibe 3on3 team set to transform the Leeton Indoor Stadium again.
"Last year when you walked in it was like it wasn't even the stadium," Mr Goman said.
"It had a completely different feel and atmosphere to it.
"The guys that run it have a lot of enthusiasm and really believe in the program."
Vibe 3on3 will be held at the stadium on February 26.
