Some residents have expressed concern at the state of the cemetery grounds, but council believes most of these issues have been rectified.
"There were some complaints about dirt being moved away from gravesides and the trucks ripping up the grounds in the process," director of environmental and community services Garry Stoll said.
"However, we stopped doing that process as a result of the winter conditions and the concerns raised."
There has also been some beautification work undertaken at the cemetery thanks to the community service program.
"I think it's very important for the cemetery to always look nice and be presentable," Mr Stoll said.
Council will also be completing other works in the lawn cemetery.
"In the next 12 to 18 months we'll also be looking into stage two of cemetery," Mr Stoll said.
"We've still got at least 15 years left at the cemetery now, but council does own a block of land to the north that will be part of stage two.
"While it's a long way off it is something that needs to be planned and prepared."
