The Leeton Shire Council-run event was aimed at providing young people with an alcohol-free night last Saturday.
Council community services project officer Jacob Muthsam was disappointed with the turn-out, which he attributed to a cluttered events calendar. However, he said the people who did attend had the opportunity to experience a great line-up in a fabulous venue.
"The people saw two quality bands with different sounds,"Mr Muthsam said.
"One had a folky-indie sound with a range of instruments and the other a slow indie rock.
"The bands did a great job."
Former Leeton resident and member of headline act Slow Chase, Alex Hingston, enjoyed playing to his home crowd.
"It was a great opportunity to give back to the community that gave so much to me," he said.
Mr Hingston said he was inspired by chart-topping band Birds of Tokyo performing in Leeton.
"When we were younger we had to drive nine hours to Melbourne to see bands," Mr Hingston said.
To come to smaller regional areas was "so important", he said.
Despite the small audience Mr Muthsam said he hoped these types of events would continue in Leeton.
"It is important we have opportunities for young people to do things," Mr Muthsam said, adding that organised social occasions prevented young people from resorting to anti-social behaviour.
