Miss Flanagan has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom, as well as performing across many corners of the globe.
She is best known in Australia for her work on the television series Full Frontal and in the UK for her work on The Sketch Show.
Other television programs such as The Micallef Program, Good News Week and Spicks & Specks have all had the pleasure of witnessing her comic genius.
She currently appears regularly on The Project and will be bringing her best material to the Roxy Theatre on Saturday.
In the show she promises many laughs and will keep the audience on its toes.
She said acting and stand-up comedy were two different beasts, but enjoyed both.
"I'm really lucky to be doing both," she said. "I love stand-up for the instant reaction you get from the crowd.
"I love the acting work for the fact that I get to collaborate with other great people."
She lists her favourite comedians as Dylan Moran, Jennifer Saunders, Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey and Tom Gleeson, among many others.
Miss Flanagan finds her inspiration in many different and odd places and was looking forward to bringing that to Leeton.
"I keep my ears open at all times," she said.
"In shops, cafes, on the streets, I'm always listening for silly voices and stupid things people say. Often it starts with a voice or phrase.
"Like the girl in a shop who told me her name was 'Noo Noo'.
"I had to write that down and work out a way of putting it into my act.
"Noo Noo? I mean, come on, that's not a name, that's a Tellytubbie."
Those attending Saturday's show should expect the unexpected.
"I feel like I'm getting bolder and bolder on stage," Miss Flanagan said.
"More of my own personal life is creeping in.
"I used to be quite guarded about what I revealed on stage, but with this show I've really gone to town and bared all ... metaphorically speaking, not literally, there is no nudity, there will never be nudity.
"My favourite musical guest, my sister, Penny appears in the show and we do a couple of funny songs together.
"She always tours with me and I think it makes the show a bit more special, you get a bit more bang for your buck.
"Comedy and music is a great mix."
Kitty Flanagan will appear at the Roxy Theatre on Saturday from 8pm.
Tickets are available now at the theatre for $44.90 an adult and $39.90 concession.
