The landmark victory a proud moment for the township according to Barellan coach Will Overs.
“It’s a nice reward for hard work over the past six months, not just for the team, but for the whole community here,” Overs said.
“(It would be) nice to finish the season on a high.”
Upfront Thomas Conlan delivered eight goals, building Barellan’s top score of the season.
“He was on fire; catching everything that was kicked near him,” Overs said.
The drought-breaking match has instilled Overs with optimism.
“The boys have been ripping it in, there’s no doubt that we can sustain that winning mentality for the rest of the comp,” he said.
