Messy Sunday occurs once every school term and is an outreach program for the church.
It is run by the Mothers Union, a world-wide organisation that makes up the church.
Leeton Mothers Union member Mandy Walsh was there on the day to see community members partake in the activities on offer.
“The theme of the day is ‘Dads and Lads,” she said.
“It is to celebrate the men in our lives, not just dads.
“(Messy Sunday) is an informal way of getting together and having fun.
“It’s for all ages, not just kids.”
The day consisted of a range of events and was followed by lunch.
