THE sentencing of a Leeton man who was driving a utility that crashed and resulted in the deaths of two people has had his sentencing hearing adjourned again.

Bowden Barker was listed for sentencing in August in Griffith District Court after pleading guilty to two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and one count of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm. The matter was adjourned to the court on Tuesday, but was adjourned again. Mr Barker will return to court on October 16 for sentencing.
He was charged after the ute he was driving crashed into a canal in Petersham Road on December 5 last year.
Passengers Jake Isbister, 21, of Leeton, and 17-year-old Cootamundra girl Chloe Hardy died at the scene. Another young man was injured, but survived the accident.
