The organisation held its annual street stall that raises funds for women with breast cancer and raises awareness of the disease.
The event has become well-known in Leeton shire thanks to its many pink sweet and treats, but in particular the pink bread to match the sausage sizzle always goes down well with residents.
Both the barbecue and variety of cakes sold out on the day.
Group member Laney Lashbrook-Gough said the community support had added to the day.
“It was a bit quieter in the main street than usual, so we were taking our food into businesses, who were more than willing to take it off our hands,” she said.
“I took a tray into one business and they gave me $50 when it was probably only worth $20 for the whole lot.
“That sort of support is really great. I had people stopping in the street to give me donations.
“We never set a target of what we hope to raise.
“Whatever we can get we are happy with because it all goes back to helping Leeton and district women.
“I’m all about awareness. It’s why we do it.”
The organisation will host two pink dinners with Pages on Pine on October 30 and 31. Bookings are essential and can be made at the restaurant.
