The MS Australia MIA Branch supports the more than 50 people living in the area with the illness.
This year three of those patients passed away in Leeton, including the daughter of branch president Joan Dartnell.
This gave extra motivation to ensure the recent charity golf day was again a success.
Mrs Dartnell said the event attracted a full field of golfers.
“It’s been a difficult year for everyone, but we’re glad we put the day on again,” she said.
“It’s what we do. I didn’t want to miss it.”
As always we’ve had some really great feedback. The highlight for me was seeing the young team of boys win.

It is believed the most recent day was the 19th the branch has hosted.
The winning team of the day was the young foursome of Bailey Stanmore, Tyh Evans, Matt Pettit and Simon Barnhill, who will now each enjoy a joy ride in a helicopter as their prize.
Mrs Dartnell described the day as perfect.
“It was fantastic golf weather and everyone was enjoying themselves,” she said.
“As always we’ve had some really great feedback.
“The highlight for me was seeing the young team of boys win.
“They played really well.
“It’s great to see young people have that interest in golf.”
The MIA branch raises funds for those living with MS in the area and Mrs Dartnell said funds raised as part of the golf day would allow them to continue to do their work.
“We assist those living with MS at home, but also in nursing homes,” she said.
“It can be for a number of different things.
“Just recently we purchased a special chair for a man living in a Leeton nursing home with MS.
“These things aren’t cheap, so we really do appreciate the support we receive when we hold events like this.
“Every little bit helps as they say, so it was really pleasing to see so many take part at the golf day.”
The branch is always on the lookout for new members to join its organisation.
