Collins was able to snare match figures of 7-19 with the ball while also knocking in a stylish 85.
This was the first time this season that a team has come away with an outright victory.
It was Colts who won the toss though and did elect to bat on what looked like a good batting wicket at Mark Taylor Oval.
Things got off to a rocky start for Colts as Dionisio Pantano took care of both their opening batsmen quickly.
Nathan Carn joined forces with captain Jarryd Day and they looked to have things under control before they came undone to the bowling of Jameson Booth.
With their top four back in the sheds for just 36 runs things looked ominous.
Billy Dickinson (24) was the only batsmen to make it past 12 and once he was dismissed the team crumbled.
They were bowled out for 83 in just 40 overs.
With ball in hand Dickinson and Carn were able to strike a few early blows to leave Yanco 3-47, but from there it was smooth sailing for the batsmen.
Collins combined with Mark Doyle and immediately looked dangerous.
The pair surpassed Colts’ total but weren’t done there as shortly after they brought up their 50 run partnership.
The pair continued to pound the Colts bowlers all over the park and Collins and Doyle soon brought up their 50’s, as well as their 100 run partnership.
Their stand was eventually brought to an end for 123 when Doyle (58) was trapped in front by Dickinson.
Collins was creeping towards his century when the bowling change to Todd Pattison got the breakthrough.
Yanco eventually declared after 69 overs at 5-222 with a lead of 139.
Colts had no chance of coming away with a win now, it was all about seeing out the rest of the day and saving face.
After a few early wickets fell it looked like Mackenzie Saddler and Day had found their feet and would be able hold out Yanco.
With the score at 43 this all changed.
They lost Saddler, Day and Josh Carn for two runs and from there it was all downhill.
Collins kicked things into gear as he ripped through the Colts middle order.
Nobody outside the top three made it to double figures as Colts were bowled out for a second time in the match.
They finished all out for 61 and gave Yanco the win by an innings and 78 runs.
The win now gives Yanco a five point lead on the table ahead of the Narrandera Carpheads.
Colts now sit in third place, 11 points behind first but 16 points clear of the bottom placed Phantoms.
