Ms Jones was in town to discuss the role that Lions are playing in the Leeton community and to view the projects being carried out by members.
During her time in town she visited some of the completed projects, including the heritage trail pathway in Mountford Park that was completed as part of centenary celebrations in recent years.
Ms Jones will serve in the role as first vice district governor until June next year.
Following that she will assume the role of district governor for Lions district 201N4. The shire is home to both the Leeton Lions Club and Yanco Lions Club.
