The announcement, made on Monday, comes after extensive advocacy by Leeton Shire Council.
Council believed the original footprint for NBN fibre to the town, which did not include the Estate, limited industrial and commercial growth opportunities.
In a combined call to action Leeton Mayor Paul Maytom lobbied Member for Farrer Sussan Ley on the issue, while council’s economic development manager Nichola James lobbied NBN operational staff.
Cr Maytom said he had been delighted when Member for Farrer Sussan Ley’s office called with the news that the NBN Review Board had approved a recommendation made by staff to extend the roll out.
“It is crucial that our businesses in Vance Estate have access to high speed broadband so they can optimise their opportunities and grow,” he said.
“Council appreciates greatly that Minister Ley and NBN Co staff genuinely considered our concerns and followed up.”
Mrs James was similarly delighted with the news which she said was a major win for the town.
“The NBN was designed to create a level playing field for regional businesses,” she said.
“Finally we are assured that Leeton’s industrial estate is included in that scheme.
In a statement released on Monday council said they understood the NBN fibre to the node at the estate would commence in the next few weeks.
Cr Maytom thanked the NBN Co for working productively with council and the community to deliver a high speed broadband solution.
