Charlie Lamont represented the Riverina in cricket at the state carnival for girls.
The event was held in the Hawkesbury Valley last month.
Charlie was able to play a key role for the team.
“We played over four days, with two matches each day for the first three days,” she said.
“Then a final (was held) on the fourth. I bowled and batted over the week.
“I made 31 runs, one catch, (took) seven wickets, which included one LBW.”
Charlie said she was able to gain plenty by taking part in the carnival and cricket was something she continued to enjoy.
She was also hopeful of representing again next year in the sport.
“The learning experience was fantastic,” Charlie said.
“I met some great friends.
The Riverina team came ninth overall in the state, which was a fantastic result considering the team is put together from all around the (region).”
