I'm sure for some that simple sentence would send a chill down their spine.
Remember back this time last year when it was all a big joke that Mr Trump was running for president.
Well, the joke is certainly over now.
While the incoming president, his thoughts and his stance on issues may terrify some, even residents here in Australia, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
The problem with Mr Trump is, he simply can't help himself.
At stage or another it's likely he will trip up and land himself in hot water and finally have to be held accountable for his actions.
It's certainly an interesting time in politics across the world.
In Britain, there's the whole Brexit issue, which is dividing the population.
Similar to Mr Trump, whose very presence is causing much angst and anxiety among certain factions of the US.
However, here in Australia there's not all that much going on.
Parliament hasn't returned from its break, so the biggest news story that can be cooked up is a minister that hasn't been using taxpayers' money in the way that is expected.
While this is certainly a big deal and opens up a huge can of worms and other issues that need addressing, is this really Australia's biggest concern?
Small fish compared to the other two examples.
Mr Trump has the potential to do some real damage not just to America, but the world during his time in the Oval Office.
That's the impression we've gotten so far from his previous form and behaviour.
We were all shocked when he announced he was running for president and thought it would never happen.
There were tears (some of sadness, some of happiness) when the "unthinkable" happened and he defeated Hillary Clinton at the ballot box.
We've been surprised by what has transpired so far, so perhaps Mr Trump's presidency will be the same.
Maybe in four years time everyone will racing to vote to make sure he gets in again.
It's a funny old world, you never know what might happen.
Whatever happens during his term, there’s no doubt it will be highly interesting and provoke many a debate among family and friends.
