Attendees received a speech from Eric Hudson, who delivered a Power Point presentation on the Friends of Luro. The group provides aid to the Luro community in Timor L’este.
President of the U3A, Don Graham said it was pleasing to see the numbers continue to grow.
“It is very significant that the first three speakers are all members of the Leeton U3A,” he said.
“Thanks to indication of interest by U3A members and attendees, special interest groups will be organised soon.”
The U3A is a world-wide movement where retired people get together to teach and learn from each other. They draw on life’s experience, knowledge and interests in a friendly atmosphere.
