With NAIDOC Week fast approaching, community groups have been urged to do so again this year, as well as apply for government grants to assist in their ventures.
The NSW government is again offering funds for grass roots organisations to run events marking NAIDOC Week, which is the annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
“This is a great opportunity for the region’s groups to get some funding for their NAIDOC Week events,” Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli.
“NAIDOC Week is a unique celebration Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and people at all levels of Australian society,” he said. Grant applications close April 27.
