A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the maintenance work will improve the section of road between McQuillan Road and Acacia Avenue by providing a safer road surface for motorists and reduce future maintenance requirements.
“Work will be carried out between 8.30am and 4.30pm on Saturday, April 22, weather permitting,” the spokesperson said.
“Changed traffic condition, including lane closures will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.”
Leeton motorists are being urged to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel, follow the directions of traffic control and all signs and stick to the enforced 40km/h speed limit.
“Traffic controllers will help provide access to properties and no parking will be available along the work site,” they said.
The spokesperson finished by saying every effort would be made to reduce the impact of noise from this work and the RMS thanks the community for its patience.
