Coopa Steele used his pace and long kicking ability to whack on three quick goals that demoralised the opposition. From that point on a strong team performance lead to huge first round win.
Senior players Josh Thomas, Nathan Ryan, Jye Doyle and Reece Grundy used the ball well throughout the game while bottom age players Matt Ryan, Gus Crelley, Hunter Booth and Jay Tang won their match-ups and provided plenty of drive for the team. Julian Werner’s return to football from injury proved fruitful as he made the half forward flank his own as Mitch Cooper dominated the forward line kicking 3 goals.

Under 13s Football
The Under 13s travelled to Griffith to meet arch nemesis Griffith Red and expected the usual tough contest. This was no exception with Griffith bouncing out of the blocks and flexing their muscles.
Dylan Gordon down back tried to stem the flow with his strength and power and he was well supported by Jaydyn Broadbent in their quest to slow the Griffith team down. All the boys tried hard during the course of the game and some strong marking by Tom Allen and in and under work from Jye Grundy and Cooper Purtill allowed the boys to show their skills during the back half of the game.
With a never give up attitude the team played some good flowing football and showed what they are capable of in the second half but the lead was too big to peg back.
