Yanco Public School’s popular Little Learners program continues to grow in strength while at the same time introducing the young participants to school life.
The initiative is held each Friday at the school from 9.30am to noon and is co-ordinated by an experienced teacher and teacher’s aide, meaning parents don’t need to stay for the session.
“We currently have 17 students attending the sessions,” teacher Tarnya Grigg said.
“The children get a chance to participate in a range of activities and socialise with the kinder to year 6 students at recess.
“They enjoy dress ups, water fun, outdoor activities, singing and playing with musical instruments and participating in (some) school events.”
