Attending workshops held at Marian Catholic College teachers from state, Catholic and independent schools engaged in professional learning to get ready to implement the stage six science curriculum scheduled for 2018.
Recent workshops focused on biology and chemistry, with teachers set to again meet to discuss new physics, investigating science and extension science courses later in the month.
Leading science education expert and Sydney University lecturer Patricia Stockbridge facilitated the recent workshops, having previously worked with the New South Wales education standards authority consulting on the new syllabuses.
Organisers from MCC said the workshops were a great opportunity for teachers to collaborate, exchange ideas and strengthen their professional learning network.
