The annual Friends of Luro and St Vincent de Paul charity golf day is fast approaching, with residents urged to dust off their clubs for a good cause.
Each year money is raised that is then split between the two groups to aid their various causes.
This year’s event will be no different, with prize money and giveaways on offer to sweeten the deal for those hesitant about having a hit. The three-person Ambrose format means even the novice can have a crack.
There will also be soup, barbecue and post-game nibbles to get players sustained, with a shot gun start at 11am on June 25. Interested players need to register at the pro shop.
